Universal definition: authentic human work is the effort made to produce or create, in order to realise a project that fulfils the person doing it.

• If work is not this consented effort, but a forced act, it becomes violence, coercion.
• If work carries out a project alien to the person doing it, it becomes a dispossession of the act, an alienation of the self.
• If work does not develop a disposition, a talent, a potentiality of the person doing it, it becomes desiccation, atrophy.

Universal deduction:
To emancipate oneself from inauthentic work is to give universal priority to the fulfilment of the dispositions, talents and potentialities of each and every person.

Note: In inauthentic work as defined here, which makes up the vast mass of work done on earth, the individual is asked to stay in the cloakroom: indeed, what is done generally involves only his or her organs such as the hand or the brain. Organs which are now only externally his own, but which in reality belong to the production process which is alien to him.

Since individuals are not (or not yet) robots, the authentic personality (or what remains of it) can be partially allowed to express itself superficially, in a decorative way, but the individual must above all equip himself with the behaviours adapted to his function: an automatic smile, a bow, an agreed upon speech.

Définition universelle : un travail humain authentique est l’effort consenti pour produire ou créer, afin de réaliser un projet épanouissant la personne qui l’effectue.

• Si le travail est non pas cet effort consenti, mais un acte forcé, il devient violence, contrainte.

• Si le travail réalise un projet étranger à celui qui l’effectue, il devient dépossession de son acte, aliénation de soi.

• Si le travail n’épanouit pas une disposition, un talent, une potentialité de celui qui l’effectue, il devient dessèchement, atrophie.

Déduction universelle :
S’émanciper du travail inauthentique consiste à rendre universellement prioritaire l’épanouissement des dispositions, des talents et des potentialités de chacune et de chacun.

Note : Dans le travail inauthentique tel que défini ici, qui forme l’immense masse des travaux réalisés sur terre, l’individu est prié de rester accroché au vestiaire : en effet, ce qui est effectué n’implique en général que ses organes comme la main ou le cerveau. Organes qui du coup ne sont plus les siens que de façon extérieure, mais qui appartiennent en réalité au processus de production qui lui est étranger.

Les individus n’étant pas (ou pas encore) des robots, la personnalité authentique (ou ce qu’il en reste) peut être partiellement autorisée à s’exprimer superficiellement, de façon décorative, mais l’individu doit avant tout s’équiper des comportements adaptés à sa fonction : un sourire automatique, une courbette, un propos convenu.
